Principals from Partap World School, Pathankot and Partap World School, Indora attended The AFS Principal’s Meet at Hyderabad Public School, Begumpet.
Total of 48 Principals and Directors attended this meet.
All the participants were addressed and welcomed formally by Mrs. Divya Arora, National Director of AFS India followed by AFS India team members being introduced.
The session began by introducing the participants about AFS India, history of AFS India, introduction of AFS India’s Board of Governors with Chairperson, Board members and CEO and the National Office of India being at Hailey Road, New Delhi.
Then the presentation was shown stating the statistics of the volunteers associated with AFS, 5000,000+ alumni, number of study abroad participants, number of host families and the global network of AFS.
The presentation highlighted about AFS, 3 ways AFS impacted the world, proud with experience of 100+ years, what does AFS as a brand promise which entailed people experiencing varied cultural experiences with personal growth which continue with them throughout their life.
It was focussed that the AFS has life-changing global programs in more than 50+destinations in form of flagship programs and short-term programs. One of the major advantages emphasized was on the life skills one gains from experiencing the AFS study abroad programs.
The presentation emphasized on the strong risk management and mitigation AFS offers in its programs starting from the initial stage comprising of the following:
- Careful selection of host family & their screening
- Availability of the vigilant volunteers
- Orientations from pre-departure, gateway orientation, arrival orientation, mid stay orientation, end of stay orientation and re-entry orientation for the participants and host family orientation for the selected families.
- Coverage of health insurance in the program fee
- AFS India as ISO Quality Certified organization ensuring the quality management system
- Prioritize safety and security the most such as has strong evacuation process in case of any emergency.
- In the entire process, the AFS Team stays connected and available for the participants 24*7.
The presentation ended by showcasing the inspiring stories of AFS Alumni’s and their successful journey of changing the world.
