December 23, 2018It is pertinent to mention here that he has already represented India in Thailand for an International competition (Karate Championship) few months ago.
More than 600 participants from different districts , participated in the Karate Championship.
The Championship is being organized by Amateur Karate Do Association of Jammu & Kashmir (AKAJK) recognized by J&K State Sports Council affiliated to Karate Association of India (KAI) recognized by Govt. of India (Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports) member World Karate Federation (WKF) & Asian Karate Do Federation (AKF) recognized by International Olympic Committee (IOC). More than 600 participants from different districts viz Jammu, Rajouri, Kathua, Reasi, Srinagar, Ganderbal, Budgam, Bandipora, Kupwara, Udhampur, Kargil, Kishtwar, Doda, Shopian, Samba are participating in the tournament.
Dr. Naseem Javaid Chowdhary, Secretary J&K State Sports Council was the Chief Guest of the Inauguration/ Opening Ceremony of the championship. Nazir Ahmad Bhat, Vice President AKAJK, Sh. Romesh Gupta, President Jammu Central Mahajan Sabha, Sh. Ravi Singh, Divisional Sports Officer (DSO), J&K Sate Sports Council, Rahil Gupta, Vice President AKAJK, Advocate Vishal Sharma President Jammu District Karate Association were the other dignitaries present on the occasion.

Moment of Pride Master Irfan Ahmed from Partap world school, Pathankot (hostel student) was also selected to represent Indian Karate team in the Thailand Open Karate Do Championship 2018 held at Bangkok.
