An outspoken, fiercely independent-minded, uncommonly talented high school student of Partap world school, Pathankot -Akshay Singh, an artist with work already exhibited in public, was both vocal and passionate about his dream- to earn his undergraduate degree in Film making or Performance arts and theatre. Akshay was able to maximize both his academic and co-curricular profile with the help of school faculty and eduVelocity counselor to earn numerous admissions and scholarship offers from across the U.S. and Canada. It was hard to cope with the syllabus but with the cooperation and uncountable suggestions from the teachers he was able to pull it off.
Akshay’s excellent portfolio and profile with his academic results got him offers from world renowned top ranked public universities.

Akshay volunteered in many areas like:-
- Volunteered at “Khelshala”(NGO); taught underprivileged children.
- Initiated a Social Entrepreneurship Venture to earn money to sponsor the Child’s education, by creating a Mobile Library, Chandigarh in 2016-2017.
- Participated in “ Swachh Bharat Abhiyan” at BhavanVidyalaya, 2017
- Participated in Street Play on “Justice” for rape victim, Chandigarh 2017.
- Organized Dance Workshops for children aged 8-16 years of “Theatre Age”, Sector 24 Chandigarh in 2016-17.
- Organized Summer Camp“Dance Pe Chance” for underprivileged children, Chandigarh in 2017.
- Volunteer and member at a NGO-“I am Gurgaon”, worked to save the environment, through rallies and awareness campaigns, 2016-17
- President of “SAATHI’’ (NGO); supervised all the activities, ensured smooth functioning, delegated responsibilities and helped members in organizing various activities in 2018-19.
- Organized a fundraising event- “SAATHI” NGO- “Rock for a cause” in 2015-16.
- Team Leader (2017-Present) – Project Umang, a social entrepreneurial venture started by school students by selling second hand books and funding the education of a girl child.
- Head Organizer- Project Umang book sale in June 2018. Collected over 10,000 INR in a three- hour book sale. Got featured in The Times of India newspaper.
